Britt aims to capture the landscape of north west Australia. A place she frequently revisits time and time again which not only holds a resonance but also a compelling
painterly allure. The impulse to hold on to a memory or more strongly, to share a place or circumstance is to me the very essence of all these expressions. To make an impression, a gesture or a glimpse of a memory is one of our most universal and natural instincts. Her paintings are a mix of real, remembered and exaggerated landscapes that evoke a certain feeling or spirit of place.
Wildflower Road measures 45 x 48cm and framed in a raw oak frame.
